About the event
The World Championship in Halibut Fishing is a festival located in Havøysund celebrating halibut fishing and local fishing culture. In the daytime it is all about the competition, and on Saturday evening we throw a huge party with live music. For the past 8 years (not counting the two years we had to cancel due to covid), pro anglers, commercial fishermen and amateurs have met in Havøysund for the world's largest halibut fishing competition.
